I am a data scientist at Verisk Maplecroft. I recently graduated with a PhD in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University. I am also currently completing a MAS in Applied Statistics at Pennsylvania State University.

In my work, I utilize text mining and machine learning methods to provide new insights into socially relevant topics. My dissertation used original datasets of legislators' speeches, questions, and tweets to understand their representation of constituents. I have also researched political instability forecasting and differences in how scouts describe white and minority NFL quarterback prospects. I have presented this work at leading data science and political science conferences.
